Tour begins: 5:15 PM, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa. A transfer is included upon arrival from the Cherry capital Airport to your hotel where we have reserved a Tower Room for your 2-night stay. Join us for a Welcome Cocktail and Dinner.

Discover Michigan state’s west coast, a land of vineyards, sandy beaches, and impressive sand dunes. In the morning travel along Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. In the afternoon, enjoy a sail on Grand Traverse Bay aboard the tall ship, schooner Manitou. Later enjoy a winery tour and wine-pairing dinner at the Chateau Chantal Winery .

Begin your day with a visit to the Music House Museum which celebrates music and musical instruments from  the periods 1870 to 1930. Continue along a scenic route to the town of Petroskey for lunch and where you will board a ferry over to Mackinac Island. Automobiles are forbidden on the island so you will enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride from the ferry terminal to your historic hotel, the Grand Hotel.

Today is exploring the architecture of Alden B Dow, son of the founder of Dow Chemicals, and a one-time student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Explore his house, a study in angles. geometry, and integration into the landscape. It is a National Historic Landmark. Arrive at your hotel late afternoon.

Enjoy lunch and free time in the village of Frankenmuth settled by Bavarian immigrants in the 1840’s. Later, experience a guided tour of The Henry Ford museum in Dearborn. See the houses and workplaces of Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers, and Harvey Firestone. Your 2-night stay in the heart of Dearborn is at the magnificent The Henry, Autograph Collection where you will enjoy your exclusive Tauck­ treat – a live band with a private Motown musical performance during dinner.

Take a ride in a Model T then enjoy the Farewell Cocktail Reception and Dinner.

Transfer from the Dearborn Inn, A Marriott Hotel to the Metro airport in Detroit at anytime during the day to catch your flight home. Please allow 2 hours pre-flight check in. Ground transfer to the airport is included.
